Prenatal humid heat and child stunting

With Kathy Baylis, Stuart Sweeney & Chris Funk · South Asia

Causal evidence that extreme heat combined with high humidity during pregnancy is substantially more damaging to child health outcomes than hot temperatures alone, with implications for child stunting and long-run health disparities as hot-humid extremes intensify under climate change.

Compound mortality effects of heat, humidity & air pollution

With Ann James, Simran Koul & Kathy Baylis · Nigeria

A high-resolution dataset linking humid heat, remotely-sensed air pollution, and infant mortality, paired with a causal machine-learning framework to estimate the compound effects of climate hazards that increasingly co-occur.

Extreme heat and farmworker health

With Kathy Baylis & Stuart Sweeney · Salinas Valley, California

In partnership with Clínica de Salud del Valle de Salinas, this project links individual-level clinic records with fine-scale heat, humidity, and air quality to estimate how hazard exposures drive clinic visitation in a farmworking community.
